Minecraft - National Digital Arts Championship Tournament

Be part of the Minecraft community at Asia GAME Festival.

Ever wanted to learn how to make mods in Minecraft to show your friends? In this workshop, learn how to create your very own mod together with some basic coding skills in our Minecraft workshop. You will be able to create exciting things like special blocks and weapons to play around with! Come dressed  as Minecraft character and join the costume competition or challenge others at our tournaments to win Minecraft diamonds.

We’re also hosting the annual National Digital Arts Championship, where competitors can unleash their creativity in the exciting world of Minecraft.

The NDAC is the first national digital arts competition focused on promoting cyberwellness and creativity of youth via an art competition utilising digital technology and medium. The vision is to be the premium edutainment creativity championship reaching out to all youth and gaming enthusiasts in Singapore. NDAC partners includes the Asia Game Fest Organising Committee (AGF), the Inter-Ministry Cyberwellness Steering Committee (ICSC) and The CPL Digital Entertainment Pte Ltd (CPL) The program will be held in June where the workshops are conducted 1 week prior to the live finals held on the 9-10 June 2018 at Asia Game Fest- Minecraft zone, held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center Hall 401, 402 & 403.

The National Digital Arts Championship will be opened to secondary school teams to take part and the objectives of the competition are to promote creativity, national education and cyber wellness messages among students who love gaming via Minecraft. A vast number of teams will be gathering together to compete for the tournament championship. Training workshops will be conducted to educate the students on the necessary skills like team work, creative thinking and communications.

Each team consists of 3 players. Participants will be given an hour to create their digital artwork based on the given theme which will be provided to them during the training session. To increase the challenge as per of last year, students will need to incorporate the White Rabbit related elements into their design and still make it look fantastic. Each team is given 5 minutes to present

their work to the judges. Top 4 teams/individuals will be selected to compete on the main stage to further refine their work within the next 30 minutes.

Players will be judge according to the following:

  • Overall Appeal
  • Colour Coordination
  • Complexity of the Structure
  • Relativity of Structure Based on Theme

There will be a prize pool of SGD$500 for the participants to be won!
