Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a standalone followup to last year’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, putting players in the shoes of series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz’s twin daughters (Jess and Soph) in 1980s Paris, continuing their father’s fight against invading Nazis.
There isn’t too much information about Wolfenstein: Youngblood yet, but we do know that developer Machine Games will be developing the sequel, and that you’ll be able to play through the game as either a cooperative, two player experience or a single player.
As expected, the trailer shows a Nazi ruled alternative timeline. Longtime series protagonist, BJ Blazkowicz narrates the video trying to give his daughters a heads up on what fighting the Nazis is like and what it’ll take to survive. The trailer may give a clue to what the gameplay will be like as both daughters appear to be skilled in very different types of combat. While one daughter is shown training in hand to hand combat on a heavy bag, the other appears to prefer combat at a distance with a sniper rifle.
